When the calm of the midnight fell, I wanted to listen to J-Hope’s Blue Side song that he shared yesterday. I liked it in the first listen, but I was completely hypnotized by listening again the next night, and I can’t get out of the track which I put on the loop.
J-Hope completed this song, which he sees as an embrace of his past, in a very long time. The depth and richness of the works spread over a long period of time becomes different, and you can feel it very clearly here. He reminded me of some authors, who have created their first novels until the age of 40’s after years and years of accumulation. After reading such works emerged from those long-term hard-work, perseverance and experiences, it would not be easy to get out of their influence. J-Hope’s Blue Side will always been a work that will always have a place in me with its richness of emotion that presents the accumulation of the past (and, by the way, it expresses the longing for the past).
On the other hand, the combination of the emotional and semantic depth of the song and the beauty of the vocal feeling of J-Hope’s (although he is a rapper) is purely angelic and spectacular. We are listening to an artist singing his song passionately. Especially if it coincides with an emotional moment, your throat may get knotted, be prepared!
