When BTS first released the track “Permission to Dance” earlier in the year, the song was highly praised for bringing happiness and sending a message of hope. But what stood out the most was the members’ use of sign language throughout the choreography.
During the music video, their choreography featured both Korean (KSL) and international (ASL) sign language. Members used sign language for the words “fun”, “dance” and “peace”.🥺🥺
Recently, a YouTube channel called Deaf BTS shared a reaction video to the “Permission to Dance” music video. The channel used to post videos where they made sign language for different BTS songs in the past. This time, some kids just sat down and reacted to the entire music video.
As soon as the music video started, the guys shared how much they liked the purple balloons and their thoughts on the video, including the cool outfits the members were wearing.
They seemed to like the change of clothes throughout the video and explained that they thought it was different from “Butter“. However, the moment that caught our attention the most while watching the video was the children’s reaction to sign language in the video.
In particular, one girl looked really shocked when she saw J-Hope doing sign language, and she definitely had one of the sweetest reactions.
They couldn’t believe that BTS used ASL in their choreography when the other kids seemed to have noticed as well. They even wondered when the members learned sign language!🥰🥰
Even when the video was over, the kids couldn’t hide their excitement to see BTS using the same sign language they use in America.
When the video was released, ARMYs and viewers couldn’t hide their love for kids and how happy they were to see BTS dance using sign language!
