It has been announced that HYBE Labels CEO and BTS’ older brother and boss Bang Si Hyuk will step down from her current role as CEO of the company. Park Ji Won, former CEO of Nexon Korea, will be appointed as the vacant CEO of HYBE Labels. Park Ji Won was brought in to handle HYBE Label’s management strategy and overall operations. He joined the company in 2020 and helped the company grow rapidly. Below we see Park Ji Won.

In late June, HYBE Labels announced a major change in staff. Thanks to the joint venture with Universal Music Group (UMG) and the involvement of Ithaca Holdings, HYBE Labels’ main focus now is to drive globalization through the appointment of senior management leaders. In short, it is planned to accelerate global management with aggressive leadership.

Bang Si Hyuk will continue to play a role in the management, meaning he will be on the board of directors and participate in the decision-making of key projects, instead focusing on music production, which is his specialty. It looks like he’s planning to form new BTSs and maybe start a female idol group like BTS.

HYBE Labels made a statement regarding the major changes in their leadership as “due to a strong will to lead the change in the overall leadership system to realize medium and long-term business plans and become a global company”.
