A collaboration between BTS and British rock band Coldplay, “My Universe” topped the US Billboard Hot 100 chart as expected for the week of October 9.
It was a historic achievement for everyone involved in the making of “My Universe“. Producer Max Martin, as executive producer, tied for mostly #1 on the Hot 100 with George Martin. It also gave BTS the top spot for the sixth time and Coldplay the second time after “Viva La Vida.”
With their 6th Hot 100 title in just over a year, they’ve made the fastest progress since The Beatles.
Coldplay took to social media to share a thank you message to everyone who contributed to this success, BTS and their group’s fandoms ARMY and Coldplayers. Representing the team, they shared a post signed by lead singer Chris Martin, bassist Guy Berryman, drummer Will Champion, lead guitarist Jonny Buckland and creative director Phil Harvey.
