The question of whether BTS members will enlist in the military together has been asked a lot lately. We analyzed this situation by looking at BTS members’ ages.
Next year, BTS’s eldest member Jin (Kim Seokjin, 27), born in 1992, is expected to enlist. Then the band members Suga (Min Yoongi, 26), RM (Kim Namjoon, 25), J-Hope (Jung Hoseok, 25), Jimin (Park Jimin, 24), V (Kim Taehyung, 24), Jungkook (Jeon Jungkook , 22) need to go to the military as their age threshold is hit.
This means that if they do their military service on grounds of their respecitve ages, they will not be able to perform their activities as a complete group for 4 or 5 or even 10 years, which was also the situation for some other idol groups.
Therefore, there are rumors that BTS will be enlisted at the same time to minimize the gap between group activities.
