VENEW is coming: Now they will monetize “Live Streams”…

It was a pretty serious event that YG Entertainment joined WEVERSE. Imagine if the biggest boy group BTS’s agency’s messaging and information program is welcoming their biggest rival, the biggest girl group. Today it officially happened. So why did this happen? The reason is, of course, “money, money, money…”

The buyer is satisfied, the seller is satisfied; anyway, we are the ones who pay the money anyway! After WEVERSE, the messaging interface, there is a program and interface called “VENEW” for events called “live stream” or “Vlive” (there was a program for it anyway…).

Big Hit Music is launching VENEW through a quartet partnership of YG Entertainment, UMG and Kiswe. It has the same logic as WEVERSE…

In other words, maybe we won’t be able to watch live streams from YOUTUBE for freere… Or these opportunities will be reduced, and they will be at the mercy of the chubby Agency bosses.

Could this be good? When it comes to money, idols will likely have to provide more content as well. Their bosses will not be happy otherwise, right?

For example, BLACKPINK didn’t have many “fan service” provider other than Jisoo. But they seem to have to use WEVERSE and VENEW effectively from now on. Actually, BLACKPINK had a “3 dollar” subscription message and update interface, but they still didn’t use it much. But in a common interface with BTS, there will be competition inevitably… News-magazine sites like us will now publish more “that record was broken in WEVERSE” style news.

Let’s see what is going to happen. With good luck…
