ENHYPEN ‘s first album and their first MV “ Given-Taken” arrived us on November 30th. Before going on to the details in MV, it should be emphasized that the song is very successful! You may not get used to it in the first listenings, but after a short while the song will penetrate you. The first part that will catch your attention will probably be the pre-choral part. Then the choir part and the outro (exit) parts will then immediately catch you. Ultimately, I think you will love the whole piece very much. The track Let Me In (20 Cube) , which begins right after this track in the album, also complements Given-Taken very well. If we add the Intro: Walk The Line before Given-Taken, the album starts with a magnificent three songs. Delicious!
Given-Taken MV is a mystical MV that leaves question marks in your mind.
At the start of the MV, Sunoo is sitting in the middle of the room, as if she split ENHYPEN in two.
Each of eyes of Sunoo has a different color: one blue and one brown. He is neither a complete vampire nor a complete human. And he is also a bridge between two different worlds.
While Sunoo sings “red sun, no lie“, some photos appear in a story in the background. The first photo is a spooky and abandoned kindergarten.
In the second, two nurses are seen in a dining room.
In the third photo, we see the room where ENHYPEN is at the beginning of the clip. A nurse is standing in the middle of the room; just like Heeseung standing at the beginning of the clip. But the nurse is on the other side of the room, and the little mask in the middle was not there in the first scene.
The next scene shows a red room.
Then we see Jay and Jake standing opposite each other in the same room, but this time the room is blue. An orange light is seen outside the door of the room. The contrast between moonlight and sunlight is emphasized in this way. There are drawings on the wall to the left of this room. The shapes of an angry man with a sword (in the middle of the wall) and a crescent-shaped moon (towards the bottom right of that wall) can be selected.
The clip depicts some characteristics unique to vampires. For example, vampires love human blood, this is their destiny:
