Doom At Your Service is a 16-episode K-drama that first aired on May 10, 2021, directed by Kwon Young Il.
Tak Dong Kyung is the editor of a web-based novel company. Myeol Mang suddenly appears before him. Tak Dong Kyung makes a 100-day contract with Myeol Mang and risks his life and love. Myeol Mang is a middle-class ruler between God and humans.
Tak Dong Kyung has been feeling unlucky in life ever since he was born. A few years ago, his family died in a sudden accident. He is dedicated to the job of editing novels. However, he is suddenly diagnosed with a brain tumor and his bad luck begins again. On a dark night, he goes up to the roof and calls out to heaven, asking for an end to his suffering.
This time, however, his call was heeded. His words reach a mysterious celestial being named Myeol Mang, who is an intermediary between humans and heaven. Myeol Mang comes to Tak Dong Kyung and tells him that if he is ready to pay the final price, he can make his wishes come true. She agrees and makes an important contract with him: he is allowed to live the life he dreams of for 100 days – after which the Grim Reaper will receive his soul.
However, as Myeol Mang gets to know Tak Dong Kyung, she slowly begins to develop feelings for him… Relationships between the human and immortal realms become complicated.
Doom At Your Service airs Monday and Tuesday on tvN. The main male character Myeol Mang’s name means doom/apocalypse in Korean.
