BTS members, who will appear on the cover of the June 2021 issue of Rolling Stone magazine, will also appear on the inside of the magazine with exclusive interviews and photos. We think that some of the subjects that have been left in the shadow and always wondered will be enlightened!
Everyone knows V today, but that wasn’t the case when BTS debuted! In fact, V did not even applied for an audition in person. He attracted attention at the auditions he went as a guest to support his friend and became a trainee in an instant! But it was not that easy. Taehyung narrates:
“ They asked if I would like to try it. I said okay. They said show your skilss and I danced. They said if you have another skill. I sang, they asked again if you have something else, I beatboxed a little bit. When they asked if there was anything else, I brought my saxophone and played it. When they asked again if there is anything else, I said no, that’s it, that’s all … ”
V joined the group in 2011. His bandmates started promoting in 2012, but V was introduced on June 2, 2013, just 12 days before BTS debuted!
This was a difficult period for him. He had already mentioned on his first Bangtan Blog that he felt lonely and abandoned.
In fact, he was recording blogs for himself in those days when his friends were shooting and uploading their blogs, but he could not upload them. He even thought for a while whether they would continue without him!
Bang Si-Hyuk , shortly known as Bang PD, the boss of BTS, explains the situation very comfortably:
“ We wanted to capture momentum when we announced that the BTS group was complete. V was both beautiful and colorful with her looks and personality. I thought we’d get the biggest momentum impact by leaving him to the end. It was a strategy with the potential to be effective, and it did prove so! “
