You may have noticed a very surprising name in the show crew, contributors, and thank you section for the episode ending of Netflix‘s big new hit K-Drama Squid Game: BLACKPINK Jennie!
If you keep watching the ending credits of Squid Game until the end (and can read Korean) you can see BLACKPINK Jennie’s name on the list.
BLACKPINK fan BLINKs began to question and theorize why Jennie was named in K-Drama. Was Jennie one of the 456 contestants in Squid Game? Some fans noted that even if she disguised as one of the actors with her distinctive figure, she’d probably be noticed. So, how did Jennie enter the credits with the cast of the series?
Jennie appears right at the end of the credits in the “Special Thanks” episode.
In the thank you section, Jennie’s friendship with the lead actress and model Ho Yeon Jung (Act #067, playing Kang Sae Byeok) comes to mind. Since this is Ho Yeon Jung’s first acting experience, you may not have known him before. However, BLACKPINK Jennie and Ho Yeon Jung are very close friends.
The two close friends show love and support to each other over the years and spend time together. We can often see Ho Yeon Jung on Jennie’s Instagram account.
When Ho Yeon got her first acting role, Jennie sent her a coffee truck to the drama set. You know, it seems like it’s become a tradition among friends.
That’s why Jennie might be in the “thank you” episode at the end of the series. A cute friendship icon!
