We’ve compiled the most streamed Kpop Girl Group albums (mini or full) on SPOTIFY, and we see that only three groups dominate the top 10!
BLACKPINK is in the top four places. “THE ALBUM (October 2020)” was the group’s first (and only) full album, and with nearly 1.6 billion streams, it’s second place again by BLACKPINK’s “Mini Album Vol. 2 – Kill This Love (Kill This Love, Don’t Know What to Do, Kick It, Hope Not, Ddu-du Ddu-du Remix; April 2019)” has been listened to almost twice as many.
Third and fourth place was BLACKPINK’s “1st Mini Album – Square Up (Ddu-du Ddu-du, Forever Young, Really, See You Later and -hidden track- As If It’s Your Last; June 2018) )” and “Debut Single Album – Square One (Whistle and Boombayah; August 2016)”.
In fifth place is Red Velvet with their album “The Reve Festival – Finale“. Released in December 2019, this album was a compilation of 12 songs from the group’s Korean songs, and the album’s opening track Psycho has become one of the iconic tracks of Kpop.
In sixth place is BLACKPINK’s “Square Two (Playing with Fire, Stay, Whistle acoustic version; October 2016).
We see Red Velvet again with “The Perfect Red Velvet” in seventh place. The 12-track album, which features hits like Peek-a-boo, All Right, and Bad Boy, was released in January 2018.
Eighth and ninth places are TWICE. Summer Nights was a summer album of 2018 (July), and “Dance the Night Away” was the opening track. The album had 9 tracks, 3 of which were new. Fancy You, on the other hand, was released in April 2019 and broke the sales record in the USA in the month of its release. Fancy in the album went down in history as one of the most famous TWICE tracks still listened to.
“BLACKPINK In Your Area”, which ranked tenth, was the group’s first Japanese album. The album, which was released in November 2018, included the tracks “Boombayah, Whistle and Playing with Fire”.
