Lisa was thrilled: Lalisa MV’s in-depth review
0

We finally got Lisa’s solo album that we’ve been longing for. They said it was coming all the time but it couldn’t come. Not a single promotional poster or trailer had been shared for a long time. YG Entertainment was fed up, intimidated, and eventually reprimanded, but managed to make amends by shooting a music video worthy of Lisa. The shooting of the MV, decorated with magnificent sets, costumes and effects, continued day and night for four days. The boss put his hand in his pocket and said that whatever is necessary will be done. This is obvious! In particular, the effort spent on the set that reflects Lisa’s hometown and the magnificent visuality that emerged will make you say goodbye!

When Lisa’s own name was also the name of the lead track of her solo album, people wondered what it would be like… “Lalisa”, which reflects a strong, brave and enthusiastic shout, is a very good proof of how a name describes the power and stance of its owner. It was: “May your name be known, let your name live a thousand lives, Lisa!”

First of all, the song and Lisa have a stance! She says she has a name, her stance against life, she has self-love and self-respect… She shouts “I exist, I exist!”

All of the BLACKPINK members are representatives of the “strong young girl consciousness and stance“… They have a discourse beyond just music or dance, and they often send their messages in this direction without even needing words; they express it with a selfie, style or a look. Even when they express it orally, they never spare their words. Neither to a boss nor a “hater”, they are so open and straight to face!

Lisa, from charismatic bruised student to queen; from the girl at a vacation to the biker, off-roader, even safari girl; from the bargaining police commander (aka Sierra in La Casa de Papel) to the pole dancer, she presents us with all the “femme fatal” images of dangerous and strong women. She says you will know her when you look behind her… Otherwise, it is sure that she will show them what it means in detail… She writes the rules of the game!

Although these features of the song stand out, its musical quality must also not be underestimated. I woke up at half past seven at seven in the morning and started my first listen. This is very important here: If you are sitting on the chair, you start to curl like one of the belly dancers, make a circle shape with your index finger and thumb, the other fingers are in the air, your hands are in line with your ears, your elbows are at ninety degrees to the body, just at that moment, swing with your entire upper body. If you are trying to hum along with the song you listen to for the first time with your eyes closed and your tongue pressing on your upper front teeth while doing the movement…. the song you are listening to is a guaranteed hit song, my dear friend! Congratulations, Lisa!

Is Lisa a rapper… yeah, she is a rapper. Did she do justice to the song? She absolutely did! Are there any catchy dynamic rifs in the piece? There are so much… Good! The dances that add value to the MV are also great. It would have been even better if it had been released on August 10, not September 10. A songthat suits the summer, unfortunately, its release would be a little better. Anyway, BLACKPINK solos are not a one-shot, they’re for a lifetime. Their value are known!

Maybe some people say it’s not for them. These were always said for both “Next Level” and “MAFIA” this year, but look, these are the most popular songs this year. I think Lalisa is even better than these, and even those who find it strange on the first day will get along with this song over time.

Congratulations to Lisa, the producers of the song and YG for Lalisa. We are indeed welcome!
