BTS managed to stay at the top of the Bilborard Hot 100 for the sixth consecutive time this week. “Butter” became the 9th track to achieve this in history.
Last year, we were excited to see if BTS would stay on top for the third time in a row, but unfortunately, this was not the case with Dynamite. We can honestly say that the Billboard list has not been much on the agenda this year. BTS closed the 6th week at the top after going through week 3, 4, and 5 quietly.
We can say that this achievement, which is not on the agenda, suddenly became the top of the agenda of the Kpop world, especially ARMYs, this week. So what is being talked about? Here:

But here, a strong rival of BTS is about to step in: BTS itself. Well, the new track “Permission to Dance” is coming on July 9th, it might slow Butter down. Last year, Life Goes On was held back by Dynamite’s endless popularity… But there is an important advantage, the statistics that will determine the seventh week lead are valid for the days before the new song comes out. So eight week on top is hard, but why not seven?

This week, Butter was the track with the biggest increase in track sales (both download and physical). After the first week, the sales halved in the second week and the decreasing trend continued for five weeks, but in the sixth week, a sales figure was realized even higher than the second week.
