No matter how many times a K-Pop artist wins a music show award, whether it’s the first or the hundredth, it’s always very important to both the artist and their fans! This is physical proof of their achievements and winners get emotional receiving them.

Here are 11 K-Pop artists who won the most music show awards in 2021! The six music programs in this list are The Show, Show Champion, M Countdown, Music Bank, Show! Music Core, and Inkigayo.

11. ITZY

All year long, ITZY has won a total of 8 music show awards, bringing their total awards to 42! Five of those wins went to “Mafia in the Morning” in weeks 18 and 19 of the year, and three went to their newer release “LOCO,” which they won in weeks 40 and 41 on variety shows!

10. SEVENTEEN

SEVENTEEN has won 8 awards this year, bringing their total awards to 46! Half of these 8 awards went to the first song of the year “Ready To Love” in the 25th and 26th weeks of the year. The other half went to the more recent “Rock With You,” which won on various programs in weeks 43 and 44.

9. Kang Daniel

One of the two soloists on this list, Kang Daniel has won a total of 9 music show awards this year, bringing his total to 19! Four of these awards went to “Paranoia” in the 8th week of the year, while the other five went to “Antidote” in the 16th week.

8. aespa

Rookie girl group aespa has proven to be a group to watch out for with 9 music shows won in 2021! One of them went to their first song “Black Mamba” in the second week of the year, while the other eight went to their last and big hit “Savage” from week 41 to week 48!

7. THE BOYZ

THE BOYZ is a fourth-generation group that has been incredibly successful this year, winning 10 music show awards overall, bringing their total to 15! Half of those wins went to “Thrill Ride” in week 33, and the other five to “Maverick” in week 45.

6. Brave Girls

Not only did Brave Girls get their first (and overdue) music show win in 2021, they won a total of 10 awards! Seven of these wins went to their iconic hit “Rollin” between weeks 10 and 18 of the year, while the other three went to “Chi Mat Ba Ram” in weeks 25 and 26.

5. (G)I-DLE

(G)I-DLE also picked up 10 music show awards this year – despite only making one comeback as an entire group – making a total of 28! All 10 awards went to “HWAA” between the third and fifth weeks of the year.

4. NCT 127

NCT 127 is one of only two NCT subunits to win 13 music show awards this year, bringing their total to 26, making it into this list! Most of these wins – 10 in total – went to “Sticker” in weeks 38, 39 and 40 of the year, while the remaining three went to “Favorite (Vampire)” in weeks 44 and 45.

3. NCT DREAM

NCT DREAM won 13 music show awards in 2021, bringing their total to 19! Seven of these awards were given to “Hot Sauce”, which they published before, in the 20th, 21st and 22nd weeks of the year, and the remaining six were given to “Hello Future” in the 27th and 28th weeks.

2. IU

IU is the other soloist to make this list for 2021, which shouldn’t surprise anyone! He won an incredible 27 music show awards this year, bringing his total to 92 (making him the most awarded soloist and fourth most awarded artist in the industry). Of those awards, 10 went to “Celebrity”, nine to “Lilac” and eight to his latest single, “Strawberry Moon”!

1. BTS

And of course, at the top of the list, BTS remains the most awarded artist in the industry, with a total of 28 wins in 2021 and a total of 152. Despite these songs released in 2020, three awards went to “Life Goes On” and four awards to “Dynamite”! “Butter” won 13 awards, while “Permission To Dance” won the remaining eight.
