(G) I-DLE (아이들) is a girl group affiliated to Cube Entertainment, which consists of 6 members including Miyeon, Minnie, Soojin, Soyeon, Yuqi and Shuhua. (G)I-DLE debuted on May 2, 2018.

What is the Meaning of (G)I-DLE?

Their name was I-DLE first but as it means in English “to be idle, do nothing”, Soyeon was not satisfied with this meaning and wanted to find its own meaning . Groupmates also defended the same opinion as Soyeon and changed the name of the group to (G)I-DLE . She also found the band logo herself. However, there is a mystery that their company has created about their names and the members still have no answer! He admitted that none of the members knew why “G” (or “Girl” in the Korean spelling) was in parentheses.
