RBW (Rainbowbridge World) is a highly influential agency with popular girl group MAMAMOO as well as a new girl group Purple Kiss. RBW’s Japanese subsidiary RBW Japan plans to sell its singers’ digital products on the Hong Kong-based Xeno coin blockchain. K-Pop fans will soon be able to purchase digital products related to their favorite group using blockchain technology. Coins give K-Pop fans and other investors a real right in digital products related to RBW activities.

In an exclusive interview with the Xeno team, RBW announced that Japan has granted exclusive rights to the NFT exchange to print and list NFT-based digital products.

“Fanbases are getting digital products for their favorite artists that they really can have, and artists and content creators are getting new and exciting products to bring to their fans,” said Jae-Woong Wang, CEO of RBW Japan. “Digital event tickets, membership coins, even digital content rights can be provided and stored within NFTs. The digital commerce trend is growing and RBW is following these trends while also looking to open new markets whenever possible.”

The exact time NFTs will launch has not yet been announced. Xeno said key digital products will include “3D model views” of fans’ favorite K-Pop idols, event tickets for virtual concerts, and membership coins that “allow artists to interact with their fanbase”.

Unlike exchangeable cryptocurrencies like bitcoin and ether, NFTs are non-exchangeable coins one-to-one. For MAMAMOO fans, this translates into ownership of a unique digital product developed around singers.

Xeno’s president, Anthony Di Franco, said Xeno’s NFT market was launched last month after the company saw a potentially large market for NFTs in East Asia. The company currently operates mainly in Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea.

While most NFT exchanges are based on the Ethereum blockchain, Xeno is built on the Polkadot network due to its better scalability, full cross-chain interoperability and integration, and Polkadot’s unique “parachain” feature that gives the team full control of the protocol layer.
