Back in 2019, #RespectLisa trended worldwide when BLINKs and other listeners tweeted their support for BLACKPINK’s Lisa, which received some hurtful comments. The comments were about Lisa’s outfit choice on the first day of the 33rd Golden Disc Awards.
Some of the comments primarily focused on her being Thai and used this to embarrass her. They said she’s attractive just because she wears Korean style makeup and she’s just an average Thai woman without makeup.
Outraged by these comments, BLINKs rallied to support Lisa.

GOT7’s BamBam was interviewing a Thai news source and was asked about Lisa’s status.
