In an interview with Billboard Magazine, BTS Jin shared his thoughts on BTS’ contract renewal delay in 2018. If BTS didn’t renew their contract, we wouldn’t be able to listen to hit songs like Dynamite and watch beautiful BTS content, which we listened to during the times when we had to close our homes due to COVID. How terrible would that be!
Before the 2018 MAMA held in Hong Kong, BTS even considered disbanding. However, BTS members thought about it and decided to renew their contract with HYBE (Big Hit Entertainment at that time).
Jin says: “We had a tough time mentally at the beginning of this year. We even considered breaking up while talking to each other. But we listened to our hearts and I’m glad we were able to produce such a great result.”
Noting that Jin agencies are with them in every decision, he adds: “The agency promised to remove all obstacles to support our passion for performance. I think they kept that promise.”
Jin states that BTS is also pursuing their passion as a group, saying: “We wanted to show each other how far we can go because we’ve worked hard so far. I don’t know if I should say this, but ‘Agency “Shake it go, shake everything up. Let’s trust the members and fans and start over.” they said.
