YG Entertainment gave information about the COVID-19 test results of iKON. YG Entertainment’s statement on the subject is as follows: “Since there was a positive COVID-19 case in Mnet’Kingdom: Legendary War, all of our participating artists and staff were put to the test immediately. All of them turned out to be negative.”
iKON Donghyuk will remain in quarantine at home. The agency confirmed that Donghyuk will continue self-isolation until May 18, since he had primary contact with a COVID-19 positive carrier despite his test being negative.
The news about COVID-19 and KINGDOM started when one of the dancers on the game show tested positive for COVID. Thereupon, all idol group members and staff participating in the contest had a COVID test.
Mnet has not made any announcements about possible schedule changes in the ‘Kingdom’ broadcast, but some groups may need to prepare their members for the final round without self-quarantine.
