Nothing like seeing K-Pop idols interact with each other and become best friends!
Here’s a look at some of the most iconic friendships in K-Pop!
1. BTS’s V and Jimin
The 95-born duo of BTS is super iconic! V and Jimin are inseparable friends. They often joke together, but are also very good at deep conversations. These two are so close that they even dedicate a duet called “Friends” to their friendship!
2. The Padding Squad
Padding Squad is simply legendary! This iconic lineup consists of SHINee’s Taemin, EXO’s Kai, BTS’s Jimin, Wanna One’s Ha Sungwoon, VIXX’s Ravi, HOTSHOT’s Timoteo, and the non-celebrity Jung Kwon Ho.
This group takes its name from the fluffy jackets they wear all the time. Taemin always wanted to have a group of friends who wore matching jackets, so he made special jackets for his best friends. Thus the Padding Squad was born!
3. BLACKPINK and Red Velvet
The members of BLACKPINK and Red Velvet get along extremely well! The members of these two groups often hung out with each other at award ceremonies, as in the photo below of Red Velvet’s Seulgi and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo.

These two are very close friends! BamBam and Lisa were on the dance team with the kids and have been friends ever since! Lisa was one of the first to listen to BamBam’s latest solo album, and BamBam defended Lisa when netizens posted racist, hurtful comments about her. We think it’s safe to say that these two will be friends for life!
5. NCT’s Taeyong and Doyoung
These two NCT members are so close! Taeyong and Doyoung are absolutely hilarious together and plan to be friends forever. Taeyong even told Doyoung that he wanted to go to a nursing home with Doyoung when they got old!
6. ’97 line
The ’97 line is full of K-Pop icons! The group consists of BTS’s Jungkook, GOT7’s Yugyeom and BamBam, SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu, The8 and DK, ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo, and NCT’s Jaehyun. This group of friends started when Jungkook and Yugyeom decided to have a big group chat for all male idols born in 1997. Even today they still hang out together and give each other thoughtful gifts!
7. TWICE and Somi
TWICE and Somi are definitely close! Somi and the TWICE members are always showing their love for each other. Somi even included some of TWICE’s most iconic choreographies in one of her performances, and the TWICE members gave her a backstage applause.
