The 2020 Tokyo Olympics are almost halfway through and it’s getting really exciting. The South Korean Women’s Archery team was victorious with nine gold medals. The women’s archery team chose BTS for the gold medal ceremony, but the Olympic logistics team made a small mistake during the awards ceremony.

The South Korean Women’s Archery team specifically requested that BTS’ “Dynamite” be played during their win. However, they played BLACKPINK’s “Boombayah” instead of “Dynamite”. The song Boombayah was chosen because the lyrics of the song include the words “Congratulation drinks are jingling for me now” to celebrate their victory.

Team representative Kang Chae Young shared at a press conference after the match that the team initially wanted BTS to be played. In a previous press interview, she also shared his hopes that if the team wins, BTS’s “Dynamite” will be played.

The Women’s Archery Team isn’t the only ARMY athlete in the Olympics! As a matter of fact, BTS’s songs are played all the time.

Congratulations to the South Korean Women’s Archery team. Being able to win 9 gold medals is a great achievement! How nice to see such successful ARMYs among us!
