BTS Jungkook is the youngest of the group and also very talented. This is why ARMY sees Jungkook to be nicknamed “Golden Maknae”. However, let’s see if Jungkook is content to be the Golden Maknae ?

In an interview with Jungkook’s Rolling Stones magazine, he talked about the emotions emanated by characterization as the golden maknae. Jungkook is very much loved and is characterized by a variety of names by the ARMY: Kookie, Bunny, Golden Maknae. BTS’s maknae earned this nickname, the golden boy, thanks to his multiple superior qualities. In fact, there are ten tricks on Jungkook’s ten fingers. He has a beautiful voice, maybe he carries BTS’s vocals very well despite being the BTS member who has had the least vocal lessons. His dance skills are also superior. Also, Jungkook is very good at sports and painting. Jungkook was the director of the music video for the debut track “Life Goes On” for the “BE” album.

The question from Rolling Stone magazine was: “People call you the Golden Maknae because you are very good at many things. But as you said before, this is a pressure, isn’t it?” 

Jungkook admits, “People say I’m perfect. I’m versatile. Of course I’m very good in some areas” . However, he adds, such gifts and talents will not help “enjoy” . Jungkook explains that it takes to “really practice, really trying out many times and dive deep” to thrive in any field. That’s why Jungkook says “I don’t really want to think of myself as a versatile person” . Continuing to talk about the pressure from the “Golden Maknae” title, Jungkook said “Of course I feel pressure” . “These pressures can get me to work hard and make me do the best at what I do” adds.

Jungkook: “I just want to keep trying and working hard”

It’s impossible not to see Jungkook working so hard. In fact, Jungkook has emphasized that he will continue to work hard to stay as a “golden maknae”.
