Big Hit Music announced on August 20, 2021, that BTS’s Map of the Souls World tour has totally and definitely canceled, including the postponed legs of the tour. The details of the statement are as follows:

“Due to changing circumstances beyond our control, it has been difficult to continue performances on the scale and timeline as previously planned. Therefore, we have to announce the cancellation of ‘BTS Map of the Soul Tour’.”

“The MOTS Tour’s concerts in Seoul were previously canceled in February of last year, followed by the North American leg being postponed to March; the dates in Europe and Japan were postponed before ticket sales began in these regions. We now have to notify you of the official cancellation of the tour. For fans who book tickets for North American shows, you will receive an email regarding refunds from your original point of purchase.”

The concerts on the MOTS tour were planned to be like a festival. Peddlers, lounge chairs, fireworks, small playgrounds, open-air foyers, etc…

These concerts were going to be a total hug and sincere, festive-like events. It’s a pity indeed. Unfortunately Jungkook needs to wait a little more to be mesmerized by the fireworks of a concert.

COVID is really starting to get boring. Unfortunately, RM’s timely response is still valid:

It’s like we still won’t be able to see that purple ocean for now. Let’s see, maybe a giant online concert organization like last year’s ON:E concert will be repeated this fall as well…

Hopes and deepening longing continues…
