How BTS listed into the Guinness World Records 2022 Hall of Fame List

BTS Guinnes Kapak

Yesterday (September 2, 2021) the Guinness World Records made an institutional statement, announcing that BTS has been listed within the 2022 Hall of Fame thanks to collecting 23 Guinness World Record titles in both music and social media!

The “Hall of Fame” presents “the most iconic Guinness World Record holders of the world, both past and present”. Those in the Hall of Fame may qualify for this list with “the most groundbreaking and remarkable achievements in history”. Well, BTS deserves it, no doubt!

According to Guinness World Records, some of BTS’s records include being the most streamed group on Spotify, surpassing British rock band Coldplay’s record, being the most followed group on Instagram, and having the most Twitter interactions (average number of retweets) for a music group.

Released in May 2021, “Butter” single-handedly broke five records, including the most audience attendance for a music video premiere on YouTube (BTS previously held mentioned record with “Dynamite”) and the most streamed in the first 24 hours on Spotify.

Some of the other important records that come to mind are the fastest time to reach one million followers on TikTok (current numbers 40 million followers) and the number of messages sold for a live concert (756,000).

To sum up: It happened again this year… BTS hit and scored!

Heartfelt congratulations to BTS members.
